Penile Reconstruction: Hidden Shaft, Webbing & Curvature
Many men who feel their penis looks short do not have a truly short penis. In many cases, part of the shaft is hidden by suprapubic fat, loose pubic skin, or penoscrotal webbing, a fold of scrotal skin that attaches too high on the underside of the penis.

What This Procedure Really Means
Is This the Same as Penile Enlargement?
No. This surgery is best understood as reconstructive exposure of the existing shaft. The penis may look longer because more of it becomes visible, but the operation is not a guaranteed enlargement procedure, and honest counseling is essential before any decision.
What Happens During Consultation?
The urologist measures stretched penile length, assesses fat thickness and skin laxity, evaluates the penile-scrotal angle and any webbing or curvature, and reviews erectile function to determine whether reconstruction, another treatment, or a combined approach is appropriate.
